Questions we get every week
Can I self-host VICIPanel on my own server?+
No. VICIPanel is hosted-only. We run every instance on our infrastructure so we can guarantee uptime, security, and continuous feature delivery. No source code distribution, no SSH, no binary installs. If that's a blocker for you, the Enterprise tier offers dedicated hardware with stronger isolation guarantees and signed DPAs.
What's the catch with the Free tier?+
There isn't one. 3 agents, 1,000 outbound minutes a month through VICICarrier, 7-day recording retention, community support. When you hit the minute cap, outbound pauses until the next cycle. You never see a surprise bill. Upgrade to Starter any time.
What happens at the end of the 14-day Growth trial?+
You pick a paid plan and keep everything: data, recordings, configuration. Or you roll back to Free at the 3-agent cap and keep the instance. Or cancel and we archive for 30 days before deleting. No auto-billing, no credit card required upfront.
Is there really no setup fee?+
Correct. VICIhost charges $1,000 to provision a server. We charge zero on any tier, including Enterprise. Hosted plans provision in under an hour.
Can I use my existing SIP carrier?+
Yes. Any Asterisk-compatible SIP carrier works on Growth and above. There's a $0.003 per minute platform fee on BYOC minutes, waived if you use VICICarrier or are on Enterprise.
How does the 10% VICICarrier bundle discount work?+
When 50% or more of your monthly minutes route through VICICarrier, you get a 10% credit applied to your next VICIPanel invoice. We track it automatically from your CDRs. No coupons, no promo codes.
Do you support multi-tenant or reseller models?+
Yes. Enterprise plans include reseller rights and white-label. You can operate VICIPanel as a product for your own clients; we still run the infrastructure underneath.
What does 'Managed' actually mean?+
People time. A VICIPanel ops engineer accesses your instance with full audit and does the work: pacing, CID rotation, user provisioning, campaign setup, QA. Different from your standard hosted plan, which just means we run the instance for you.
